Anwar is Permatang Pauh MP (Final update)
BUKIT MERTAJAM: Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has won the Permatang Pauh by-election.
The PKR de-facto leader was returned to Parliament with a majority of 15,671 votes, exceeding the 13,388-vote majority won by his wife Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail in the March 8 general election.
Anwar garnered 31,195 votes to beat Barisan candidate Datuk Arif Shah Omar Shah, who polled 15,524 votes, while Angkatan Keadilan Insan Malaysia candidate Hanafi Hamat lost his RM15,000 deposit after getting only 92 votes. There were 447 spoilt votes.
"This is the people's victory," Anwar said in a victory speech.
"Permatang Pauh has given a clear signal to the leadership of this country. We demand change. We want freedom. We don't want to live with corruption and oppression.
"We want an independent judiciary, we want the economy to benefit the vast majority not the corrupt few," he added.
Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said the result was proof that democracy was still alive in the country and there was no manipulation involved...

I Swear
"I swear by this holy book that Anwar sticked it into my asshole on 26 August... err... I mean 26 June... "
I want to add that this swearing has nothing to do with politics. My accidental mention of 26 August which is the date of the Permatang Pauh by-election was just a mere coincidence. Please do not think that it has anything to do with politics.
Was I screwed 8 times in one day, on the day of 26 of August... I mean 26 of June , or 8 times in few separate occasions? Hmmm... let me think about this. I'll swear again when I've pick up enough courage. This thing needs mental preparation you know...
How was it with Anwar? Was he good? Err... No comment at this time... Next time lah. I need to prepare before commenting on anything further.

Making of 2008 Olympic Medals

PUTRAJAYA (Aug4, 2008) : Prime Minister Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi has blamed civil servants for many of the problems in the country which has made the people angry and hate the government.
He said this (anger and hatred for the goverment) can be reduced if civil servants would change their attitude and carry out their responsibilities accordingly so as not to create unnecessary problems for people dealing with the government.

He said this (anger and hatred for the goverment) can be reduced if civil servants would change their attitude and carry out their responsibilities accordingly so as not to create unnecessary problems for people dealing with the government.
(Oni: if everything is done smoothly and fast, those corrupted buggers will all starve to death lah! Talk to the former Klang municipal councilor, Zakaria on this when you meet him next time).
"...for example, our inefficiency in doing our jobs, our extreme bureaucratic measures which make people hate us,our actions which people think involved corruption, or our decisions on the private sector or the people which were made too late," he said at the PM’s Department monthly assembly this morning.

(Oni: you see... all this "inefficiencies" are specially designed one. It's designed in such a way to facilitate CORRUPTION. To get things done faster you'll need to apply "lubricant" lah. The civil servants you hired are smarter than you think. They only pretend to look like idiots (half of them are actually real idiots, but that's another story)).
He warned that foreign investments which is much needed by the country as they bring projects and job opportunities for the people may be lost if potential investors find there were delays or unsatisfactory decisions in Malaysia.
"They (foreign investors) will not come if they have to face a higher cost due to the delay in the government’s decision-making process. Surely they would not like to accept this extra cost, especially because it comes from the administration," he said, adding that when making decisions, civil servants must always be patient, sincere, honest, responsible and trustworthy. (Oni: please don't make this sound like added values. These are merely expected minimum requirements in most countries).
"Don’t let people think we are not responsible, not trustworthy, not caring at all or arrogant. This will surely make them angry and this is not good because all these are our own doing."
"It is not because of Europe or what is happening in America or other countries. This is our own doing, which we must avoid," he said adding it is also the people’s responsibility to maintain peace and stability in the country...
